Your 9-day Morocco tour itinerary starts by picking you up from the airport or your accommodation in Casablanca. As Morocco's economic center and largest city, Casablanca offers a vibrant introduction. We will visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco, strikingly located on the city's west coast on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy free time for lunch.

Then, we explore more of the city, visit the amazing Corniche of Casablanca, make a photo stop at the iconic Rick’s Cafe, and see Mohamed V Square (Pigeons Square). (Please note: Depending on your arrival time, some stops might be postponed to the next day to ensure a relaxed pace). Overnight stay in a comfortable hotel in Casablanca.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat (The Capital) – Chefchaouen (The Blue Pearl) (Drive: Approx. 6 Hours)

After breakfast, we drive along the picturesque coastline to Rabat. As one of Morocco's imperial cities and the current capital, Rabat offers significant historical sites. You will visit: The Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and finally, The Kasbah of Oudaya with its charming Andalusian gardens. Enjoy free time for lunch.

Then, we head north through Ouazzane and the scenic Rif Mountains to reach the enchanting Blue City of Chefchaouen. The city is famous for its distinctive buildings and alleyways, all painted in various captivating shades of white and blue. Overnight stay in a traditional Riad in Chefchaouen.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Roman Ruins of Volubilis – Imperial Meknes – Fes (Cultural Heart) (Drive: Approx. 4 Hours)

After breakfast, feel free to wander through the beautiful blue alleyways of Chefchaouen, soaking up its unique and tranquil atmosphere. Then, we drive to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. This remarkably well-preserved archaeological site is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site and features many beautiful mosaics, ancient pillars, and archways.

After strolling through the impressive ruins, we drive approximately 30 km to visit the city of Meknes, known as the Ismaili capital and one of Morocco's imperial cities. Here, we will explore: Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Then, we head to Fes. Overnight stay in a traditional Riad in Fes.

Day 4: Guided Sightseeing Tour of Fes Medina & Highlights (Drive: Approx. 30min / Walking Tour: 2-3 hours)

After breakfast, we will be exploring the Highlights of Fes city with an official local guide. Fes is considered one of Morocco's most important imperial cities, as well as its cultural and religious center.

Meet up with your local guide and start the day by visiting the magnificent Royal Palace gate. Then, drive through the historic Jewish quarter, also known as “the Mellah.” Continue to an ancient fortress for a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes.

Then, enter the well-preserved medieval Medina (Fes el-Bali), a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will visit the iconic Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), the main entrance to the old Medina. You will enter the Medina with your local guide (Walking Tour), visiting The Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the famous Tanneries, and finally, the Quaraouin Mosque and University – recognized as the oldest existing, continually operating university in the world.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara (Luxury Camp Experience) (Drive: Approx. 7 Hours)

Then, the tour continues to the ancient cedars forest near Azrou, where the Barbary macaques (also known as Barbary apes) live. Feel free to observe and feed them while wandering in the forest.

Later, we proceed to Midelt, where we will have free time for lunch. Our journey then takes us towards the Sahara Desert, navigating the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and following the picturesque Ziz River, with stops along the way for panoramic views of its stunning valley.

Our journey then takes us through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad towards the spectacular Todra Gorges. This fortified village is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has served as a backdrop for numerous epic films and TV series. Enjoy a 20-minute hike to explore the Kasbah.

After exploring, we continue our journey towards Marrakech. Our route takes us through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, crossing the scenic Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260m). Stops will be made for lunch (at leisure) and to take pictures at interesting spots. Overnight stay in a traditional Riad in Marrakech.

Yes, absolutely. As mentioned in the itinerary notes, it is possible to customize this tour to end in Marrakech on Day 8 (after the guided tour) or Day 9 (with a transfer to Marrakech airport), instead of driving back to Casablanca.
